We respond to real life issues

We’ve learned that by working on a hyper local level, we can tap into and understand larger global inequalities and help bring them to light.

Our work with local asylum seekers in North Somerset has involved responding to immediate needs, as well as creative activities that support wellbeing and increase community cohesion.

Cookery courses invited discussion and knowledge exchange around food, which in turn has informed GROW, our project exploring global food issues and inequality.

The dynamism that Trigger brought to the city through The Hatchling was incredible. We need more innovation like this in the industry and to engage people who don’t usually attend arts and cultural events. It was a definite wow moment of the last decade.

Audiences that represent those who live where we present
O
ver the last 3 years we’ve reached over 200,000 people at our live events.

We nurture future generations

We are supporters, mentors, educators, and creative sounding boards. Through Higher Education placements, paid internships and traineeships and volunteering opportunities, we offer up-and-coming creatives and those want to work behind-the-scenes the opportunity to work on a live Trigger production.

Over the last three years we’ve supported the professional development of over 80 young people and early career artists, these roles vary from aspiring producers, directors, sound designers, creative communicators, costumiers, make-up artists and more.

My time with Trigger has been transformative in the best ways and has given me a great introduction to working in the arts. I’ve been given a breadth of experience, allowing me to develop my skills and build my confidence.
— Prithvi Sachithanandam, PoliNations intern and Marketing & Communications Assistant
